With great enthusiasm and pride, Unispher announces its partnership with Eli Vinokur, PhD, Vice President of Strategy & Academic Development at Gordon Academic College of Education, Haifa, Israel.
Gordon College, founded in 1953, is one of the oldest educational
institutions for teachers in Israel. For over 55 years, it has prepared the best teachers for the Israeli educational system.
Eli received his BA and MA from the Ofakim Honors Program at Tel Aviv University and is a graduate of the Mandel School for Educational
Leadership for outstanding doctoral students in Jerusalem. He earned his PhD from Haifa University and did post-doctoral studies as an ISEF international scholar and has been a visiting scholar at Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City and at Oxford University, England.
The focus of Dr. Vinokur’s research has been in social leadership and the creation of an educational atmosphere cultivating civic virtue, generating emotional cultures and environments fostering collaboration and excellence in educational settings. In his position at Gordon College, Eli focuses on preparation of educators with pedagogies enabling the creation of an environment under which children learn most effectively.
Additionally, Dr. Vinokur serves as a consultant to Israel’s Ministry of
Education and currently consults with the Minister of Higher and
Complementary Education regarding the development of informal
education in Israel. He also consults and leads intervention processes for local authorities and schools to implement future-thinking social educational approaches. During his work he has co-developed the SBL (social based learning/leadership), according to which the quality of an educational system is measured based on the quality of the relationships between the various stake holders and partners in the educational process. His research focuses on informal education, educational thought, social-emotional culture, educational innovation and innovative teaching, guidance and advocacy methods.
Also joining Unispher as Director Education is Dr. Vinokur’s colleague,
Avinoam Yomtovian, PhD. Dr. Yomtovian holds a BA in Management and Economics from the Academic College of Tel Aviv Yaffo and a M. Ed in Managing Educational Systems from Gordon College of Education. Avinoam received his doctorate from Alexander IoanCuza
University, Faculty of Psychology and Education in Iasi, Romania. Dr.
Yomtovian is an experienced practitioner in the field of education with 20 years of experience in developing educational intervention programs in communities and municipalities working with youth at risk, leading youth leadership initiatives and community building projects. He is the head of field training of students in the department of informal education at GACE and the head of the group facilitation diploma studies. Currently he is doing research, teaching and consulting with Dr. Vinokur in Israel.
Both Eli and Avinoam are prolific authors, speakers and professors in
Education globally. Both Scholars as futurists bring their vision and educational methodologies to the on-going building of Unispher’s platform. Both are instrumental in development and oversight of Unispher’s methodology and on-going projects in several Israeli schools as well as advising Unispher on the creation of the best educational products for Metaverse learning.
